1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what information TruckerFinders collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. The calculator and guides are free and ungated — you can use the core tools without handing over any personal information at all.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:

• Email address — if you sign up for hiring alerts, join as a founding member, or create an account.
• Account & profile information — for driver, company, or editor accounts, the details you provide when setting up a profile.
• Calculator inputs — figures you enter into the pay calculator are processed in your browser to generate your results; see our cookie categories below for whether any of that context is stored.
• Usage data — pages visited and general site analytics, collected via Ahrefs Analytics.
• Cookies — see Section 4 below.

3. How We Use Information

• To operate the Service, including your account and any profile you create.
• To send hiring alerts or updates you've signed up for — and nothing else.
• To understand aggregate site usage and improve the guides and tools.
• To maintain security and prevent abuse of the Service.

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use your email for anything beyond what you signed up for.

4. Cookies

We use a cookie consent system with four categories: essential (authentication and site function — always on), functional (remembering your preferences), analytics (anonymous usage statistics), and marketing(currently unused, reserved for future features). You can change your choices at any time via "Cookie Settings" in the footer.

5. Third-Party Services

We use a small number of service providers to run the Service:

• Supabase — authentication and database storage for accounts and profiles.
• Cloudinary — hosting for images uploaded to the Service (e.g. guide photos, profile images).
• Ahrefs Analytics — anonymized site traffic analytics.

Each of these providers processes data under its own privacy policy; we only share what's necessary for them to provide their service to us.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures — including encrypted connections and access controls — to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

7. Your Choices

• Unsubscribe from hiring alerts at any time via the link in any email we send.
• Adjust or withdraw cookie consent anytime via "Cookie Settings" in the footer.
• Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account data by contacting us at the address below.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the Service evolves. We'll update the "Last updated" date above whenever we do.
